Knockin' Down ASPS

Our Story

On February 26, 2008, Anthony "AJ" Salisbury was diagnosed with Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma cancer (ASPS) at the young age of 23 years old.  At the time of his diagnosis, his life changed dramatically.  AJ was in a constant battle with ASPS and endured clinical studies, radiation, and chemotherapy.  Through all of this, AJ showed great courage in his fight against the disease.  Through his daily battles, he continued to push forward and maintain a positive outlook on life.

Sadly, in late January 2009, AJ took a turn for the worse and was unable to recover.  After a very strong and tough battle, AJ passed away on January 26, 2009 at 1:45 PM.

In AJ's memory, our hope is to bring attention and awareness to this rare disease.  Specifically, our mission is to raise money for ASPS research, in hopes of someday finding a cure.

As we gather for this event, we pay tribute to AJ and all others who have been affected by this rare disease.  We believe that by coming together, we can make an impact in Knockin' Down ASPS.
